Over the past week or so hubby has built 15 supers and frames to fill them.

The supers were painted with two coats of primer and two coats of our color, Rhubarb Green, from Walmart (nothing but the best! )  It's actually a pretty color, as you can see here:

What, doesn't everyone have a compressor in their livingroom?

Then he took our old equipment, cleaned them all up and repainted them with another coat of green.  He's also painted the various bottom boards (white with green sizes) and telescoping tops (green) so they're all ready to use come this spring.  We have the best prepared supers out there, that's fer sher!

I have to ask....How do you keep the paint off the walls, furniture, and nick nacks while painting inside the house?

Pneumatic tools are the only way to go.  Saves so much time and effort.  I can now build 5 or 6 supers in the same amount of time it use to take nailing 1 together with a hammer and nails.

Ummm....I am the wife  :-P

Hubby is very careful, he spreads out a big blue tarp and works only on that.  I do have to confess the livingroom isn't much of a livingroom these days, I don't have furniture (sofa and the like) in there because I'm going to redo the room.  The carpet is 30 years old, it's had it!  Plus hubby does a lot when he's on layoff (he works seasonal) and he needs something to keep him busy.  He wants 10 hives this year, so we need all the equipment set up and ready to go!

Ann, hee haw!!!!  Good for Greg!!!!  (and you too).  YOu are going to be set up so well, it is going to make your head swim.  I love the look of the rhubarb green supers, very pretty, like you said.  Man, I just love to see the pictures that my forum friends put on here for us to look at.  It takes me into their part of their world and I find it very exciting, yea!!!!  My Husband has the same air compressor (well, imagine that).  He has been doing renos in our house since it feels like the beginning of time itself.  The air compressor hurts my ears, I don't know how he can stand it, but then, men will be men.

Have a wonderful day, I am impressed with all the stuff your New and Improved is doing for you, yeah!!!!  It is just like what mine does for me, only I have to get mine's butt in gear and do more, as soon as he has finished our bedroom reno (may be a long time yet comin').  Cindi

That looks like fun.

I am going to be building 84 supers and 925 frames this year.  Luckily my dad will be helping.  I might get my wife in on the fun and paint the boxes.   I have until May to get to the half-way point.
