Trying to make my own pollen patties

I don't understand why skimmed milk is used in the recipe, it is not good for the bees.

Before I made my substitute up today I realised I'd given the wrong relative quantity in my recipe earlier for the Milk powder. It should have been 1/4 kg. I've amended my earlier post to avoid any future confusion to readers.

I've included it as it's a constituent of  Graham Wagenfeller's recipe, see page 99 of "Fat Bees Skinny Bees"
