Got bees four years ago @ the insistence of my son. He is 15 1/2 now and his interest have waned elsewhere. Imagine that, Dad just  can't compete with them  ;)! My little sweetheart is 12 in a couple of weeks and express interest but we fear she may be allergic. She swells real bad with all inscet bites ants, mosquitoes etc. We have talked about having her tested. Hate to test by her reciveing a sting while working bees. She helped me one day and one got her barley through the jeans and that was it for her.

Yea Poka the cat was gotten early probably six weeks or so and really bonded. The lab has been a real challenge. He is now 2 years old and don,t chew quite as bad (holds own let me check :)! Before we had him we had two Boykin Spaniels-- great retrievers (small game) and even better pets or vice versa.
