Then there is the current trend by agriculturist and pest control services to package more than one product into a single application.  This can have the effect of increasing the lethal effect of the product by a times squared.  Anytime two or more products are mixed the label on each is no longer valid but it's done because it is more economical in the short run, where as a province in China that has been over applied like that now has to pollinate by hand because not even the birds can survive after years of applied toxic chemicals.

Thank you for this info. I will keep it filed away in case I need it sometime. This whole episode is over and ended in a very nice way.

The bees that were on the ground disappeared rather quickly due to wind conditions up on the knoll, ants eating them and whatever. That will have to remain a mystery.

At least I know someplace to have the bees checked out if I ever find another pile on the ground.

I appreciate all the help I received in regards to this problem I was having.

Sincerely
Annette

I just checked that web site and they do not do testing for pesticides, only if the bees are african.

I am looking into the Beltsville MD Lab. They are supposed to call me back.

Maryann Frazier is an authority on beekeeping around here.  I haven't had the opportunity to meet her but I know of her.  She probably can point you in the right direction.

Just a sidenote.

Once I started keeping bees the number of spiders in my yard went through the roof.
I had fat spiders. My spiders ate so many bees they looked like they needed Jenny Craig.

I never really minded the spiders. It was all part of nature.

Brendhan

Is that what you really meant to say?  :-D

But I once saw this huge spider. Turned out to be a big black hairy spider eating another black hairy spider about the same size.
