Hello everyone,
I have read that 1:1 and 1:2 are to be used to feed newly installed honeybees. Which one is better? I think the 1:2 would be better for me, because I can make more syrup with less sugar... but that's just me.  Also, for anyone interested... http://www.beecare.com/indexDynFrames.htm?http://www.beecare.com/Feeding/Feeding.htm&1. A simple way to make some sugar syrup.
Have a good night!

Typically 1:1 is used in the spring, and 2:1 is used in the fall.

As stated, the norm is 1:1 for an established hive for stimulation and 2:1 for fall stores.  I do more like 5:2 all the time.  It mixes easier than 2:1 and keeps better than 1:1 and I don't have to haul as much syrup to the hives because it doesn't have so much water in it.
