I have two hives that I got on April 18th. I put them together for 2 days then decided to move one at night. After I moved them I left them that way until 4 days ago. But when I moved it back to where the other one was I also moved the other one to make it easier access to both hives. I placed the one I moved about 2 feet from where the one I hadn't ever moved was and then moved the one that had never been moved over 3 feet. I think I have drifting because there are alot coming in and out of one hive and few out of the other. Will they both be fine? I am thinking that one will just take longer to catch up with the other one. The slower one does have larva in it. I checked it today and I saw the white larva uncapped in it. Any advice will be helpful since this is my first year.

If you didn't put a branch or something in front of the entrance, you will probably see more drifting than if you did.  If you put a branch in front of the entrance after a short move, you will trigger them to reorient to their new location.
