Last week I had a hive that I thought was going to swarm but the swarm cells dissapeared.  So I threw on top a extra medium super just to give that colony a little more room.  One week later (yesterday) I checked on this hive and that entire medium super is FULL OF HONEY!!!!!  It's still all uncapped, but the darn thing is PACKED and it's not even our main flow!!!  I tossed another medium on top of this one just incase there's more coming.  I'm out of supers and probably should put some on my other hives too.  The 2 packages I installed last month quit taking syrup 2 weeks after putting them in their new homes.  There's an awesome source right now and I'm thinkin its from the wild cherries.

On another note, Jody (poka-bee) and I went to our first meeting with the Pierce County Beekeeper's Association yesterday which was really informative.  Like most "clubs", we're still the new guys and didn't really feel welcomed quite yet.  But I'm sure as soon as we get more involved, people will get to know us better and more friends will be made.  What I thought was interesting was that most people there only had around 2 hives.  I've got 5!  Made me feel like a big guy!  lololol  There was cake and coffee, general club business, and a club member gave a presentation about pollenation contracts.  They were giving out free syrup treated with Fumilligillin-B but you had to bring your own containers (which Jody and I both forgot).  All in all, it was pretty cool!

Glad to hear things are going great. Makes me wonder why there were queen cells and then all the sudden not ? I had the opposite problem. mine were doing great and filling up a med super with no queen cells the last time I was able to check and I thought they were ok for a couple weeks. NOT.. They swarmed on me monday

My only strong hive has 1 full med. super, 2 >90% capped and just added another super yesterday.  Looks like this hive will do will this year as well.  Congrats on the strong hive!
I won't let grass grow under my feet, there will be plenty of time to push up daisies.
