I just came from my second inspection on my 2 week old hive and it was every thing i could have ever hoped for. In the center they had honey pollen and some capped workers. On the frames out side of them there was the same but they had drone brood around the outside of the worker brood. On the 2nd to last frame from the edge they had only pollen and some honey which i assume is only going to be there storage frame since there were no eggs in them.

On the 3rd frame from the other side they had double comb on the same frame, they did not start nuilding comb on the frame 2nd from the side, they just built it on the 3rd frame. So i pulled it off, it was about 1.5'' by 2.5'' with no babies in it.

I did not spot the queen, but because i saw eggs in the bottom of the cells i didnt care to look for her i knew she was there.

Does everything sound good in my hive started on foundationless frames? They had about half of the middle comb built.
Did i do everything correctly, should i pulled the extra comb off or left it?

How long does it take the babies to hatch once they are capped?

I will post some pictures of the frame on Monday.

They all develop at different rates.

1.5" by 2.5" is nothing.  I wouldn't worry about it.  Yes I would have removed it.  If it was 6" by 6" or so, I would have tied it into an empty frame.
