looking for beekeepers around Cobleskill NY

My brother just moved to Cobleskill NY last week.  As a housewarming present we gave him and his wife a beehive!  He's been wanting to start but never had the right location until now.  We live a few hours away - was wondering if there are any clubs or beekeepers in his area?  Unfortunately he is not on line (doesn't own a cell phone either).
We loaded him up with books, and instructions from our classes - and of course he can always call us but I thought it might be helpful if he had someone local.
