About two months ago, a woman called me from the Hometown News - a local small paper (tabloid sized) that is available free in six different editions around Atlanta.  It focuses on area news in each of the six areas that they cover.  She wanted to interview me over the phone, because she had read on my blog about how I am helping a Girl Scout troop.

I invited her over instead for biscuits, honey and a view of the bees.  We sat on my sunporch, ate biscuits and honey and talked about the bees for about an hour or so.

Well, she wrote this nice article about me as a beekeeper and my blog and the Girl Scouts.  Instead of simply appearing in the Brookhaven Buzz, my area of town, because she said, "everyone is concerned about the bees,"  the article appeared in all six publications in the June 2008 edition.  So it's in the Brookhaven Buzz, the Ponce Press, the Tucker Times, the Decatur Dispatch, the Norcross News and the gosh, I don't know the sixth one.  It's not online or I'd link to the article.

Anyway, because of this article, all of a sudden I'm getting all of these emails as if I am a bee authority (    ).  One man wants to know if I know someone who can remove a swarm from a split pine tree on a university campus, someone else wants to tell me about the swarm he captured and how he is hiving it and what do I think, a number of people simply have written thank yous for taking care of the bees - what a hoot!
