Powdered sugar for feeding bees

Can a person use powdered sugar for feeding bees? I know that powdered sugar is regular cane sugar that has been pulverized and corn starch has been added. So will the bees use the starch in some way or will it end up causing them have to make numerous "cleansing flights"? Reason I ask is I have a source for powdered sugar for really cheap. So if it will not hurt the bees I will look further into it.

you can make your own powdered sugar by putting regular suger in a blender, you'll have powdered sugar with no corn starch.

But my problem is that there is already starch in the sugar that I can get for cheap.

The starch won't hurt anything. When using it for sugar dusting it helps and if using it for feed, what the bees don't want or need they'll get rid of.

Turns out the sugar was not real powdered sugar after all.
