I just got off the phone ordering my bees for the spring. Has anyone else started placing thier orders yet. Just can't wait to add to the yard.

My club is ordering a huge number of packages. We're near Cornell, and the university's apiary needs almost 200, I think, so we're tossing the club order in with them. A couple of club members will either drive, or I'm told we'll get them locally.

Placed my order 2 weeks ago.
$60.00 for a 3 lb package delivered by truck to Western Massachusetts.
I ordered 3 packages; hoping that my current hives will over-winter wll
and I will then have 7.

Make a few splits and get 10....

Catch some swarms and have 14....

When will the madness stop?

I ordered two packages last week.  Hopefully, my current hive will survive this mild (so far) winter, I can split it and have four colonies in 2005.

I'm driving up to Water Town WI, its only an hour away from my house. I looked up your town, and its sort of near Springfield.  If you needed supplies and stuff Dadant is located not far from there. THat particular branch isn't shipping bees this year. I don't think I could get your bees though either, its a pretty far drive down state. Sorry man, you may wanna try lookin up suppliers in Iowa they might be closer than WI.
