My Bee book has not arrived yet, What do bee's do with the mass of pollen they are bringing in?

I was watching my girls this morning and they were really pouring in with pollen straped on.

What do they do with all of it? Feed it to the new brood?

Pollen is the protein in their diets. Nector is their carbs.
