We are going on a long canoe trip. My moms boyfriend and his family have always done it but I missed it last year. I cant wait, 3 days on the river. I am very experianced in regular currents and have been down 5 foot drops of white wateer. I cant wait for both. I want to design and build my own ultament canoe with everything. bye

When I was young - age 9 to 12 - we used to go canoeing with my dad in Florida. They were slow, all day trips. Usually I sat on a tire tube being pulled by the canoe. I loved those trips.

sounds like a deal to me, I want to put a motor on mine just for the sake of going ahead and coing into coves and being able to catch up later down the river.

That looks like a nice place, Beth. I went on a 60 mile canoe trip on the Missouri River in Montana last year. We were following part of the Louis and Clark route. It was fun, but that river isn't known for being clean

Oh BOY! I can understand why after that you'd be very reluctant to go canoeing again. That is really terrible!
