Didn't want to hyjack any posts with this.

I used the nicot and got 18 cells built out of 20 in a 9 frame queenless hive and have used traditional 5 frame nuc boxes with two frames of bees. As I still have time I was thinking of getting another shot of queen cells drawn and to use apidea mating hives to bring on more nucs.
I have a couple of Q's for the beemasters. First time for me to ever us this system.

Had it suggested to me that on good sunny days the bees can over heat even with the vent fully open. is this true?

Also heard of supers for the apidea why or what use would they be if the mating hive was used to bring on nuc's?

Is there any advantage in giving them the full 5 mini frames removing the insert feeder and using the over head feeder?

What type of overhead feeder are we talking about?  A Miller, jar, can, bucket, fondant?

The over head feeder is the one produced by apidea for syrup.

What distance do apideas have to be apart?
