Will a 9 1/2" super work as well as a 9 5/8". I seen some plans for 9 1/2" and was wondering if it would work. Thanks

I suspect you may get a violation of the 'bee space' which is 5/16 to 3/8 inch, it's going to be close depending on differing manufacture's of ware. The biggest problem you may have is burr comb or propolis buildup if the space if off a tad.

I would wonder why go against the standard of 9 5/8" ? To me, if there is a set standard, it's almost always better off to go with it. As for plans, just adjust it a bit to be 9 5/8".
