I need some advice on burr comb. Yesterday I checked my hives for honey and just to see how they were doing and one hive had burr comb attached to the top of the frames to the queen excluder.  The comb had honey in it but wasn't capped.  What I did was  scrape the comb off because it was sticking the excluder and the frames together.

The queston is did I do the right thing or should I have left it alone?

If it is in you way, remove it. If not leave it alone.
