first off make sure you are getting payed for removing them. There is no such thing as free bee's. and you may end up working for nothing for a few hours. It is tough to make a cutout hive survive. You have a 50/50 chance of getting the queen. Once you get into the hive she will run and hide in a crevice or where ever she can hide. I usually take a ladder, flashlight, Hive tool, Beesuit, Bee go to run them out of the areas they run and hide. sawzall, extention cord, bee vac, hammer, pry bar, nuc box 10 frame hive , frames, Rubber bands, steel wool, duct tape, tarps and plastic sheeting I usually don't use smoke when doing a cutout but still bring along a smoker. make sure you study out the area and come up with your best plan to remove them which is usually from the inside of the house sheet rock is a lot cheaper and easier to repair than coming thru the outside and the house will still be weather tight if you come from the inside.
never take the top off a hive on a day that you wouldn't want the roof taken off your house
