I have 2  1 week and 1/2 old packages on HSC and they have been taking syrup. At one week I did a check and the queens were released but no brood. The one thing I've been looking for but have not seen is them bringing in pollen. I have heard that since bees were more reactionary than thinking that regardless if a queen was laying or not that if pollen/nectar or water were available they would collect and store it. Is this true? I am not necessarily troubled by this but curious. What say yal?? Thank's, Brad

can you tell if there is a good source of pollen there?  Did you install over drawn out comb or just foundation.  Perhaps they are still working on the storage space.

From what I understand pollen is everywhere right now. These bees are on HSC so no building comb. Thank's, Brad
