Anyone out there have any idea how much the goldenrod bloom in NE Ohio is usually worth?  New beekeeper.  Started one package late (May).  Fed early but stopped after it seemed they were building stores.  May have fed more but work has been busy, and my 2 year old takes priority of my free time.  Anyway, they seem to be healthy, but have only really filled one box at this point.  I'm using all mediums, and understand that I really want to have all three full for them to get through the winter.  While they only have on box full, it is FULL of bees.  So, my question is, will they be able to get enough nectar off of the goldenrod to make it through the winter?

I should probably start feeding regardless.  Sugar is cheaper than a new package.

JayC,
The goldenrod will be done in another week or two, I think. Get a hivetop feeder; it will hold over a gallon of syrup and you won't spend as much time on it. If you feed them, they will build up the other two boxes real quick. Send me a private message. I live in Richfield. How close are you to me?
