I just started work at the new location for the Heidrun Meadery. There's a lot to do before we move operations from Arcata, CA. The most exciting of which is starting a small scale beekeeping operation (6 hives). I am a total novice but have been reading voraciously and learning a lot! I'm hoping to be able to learn more from this forum and share anything I can to help others.

welcome!  what a pretty part of the country you live in!

can you go to your profile and put your location?  we will not remember and it is often important when you ask questions.

MeadFarm, welcome to our forum, great that you found us.  An interesting move with the company.  Stick around, this is a place where you can learn a whole bunch, a place to tell your stories, tales and experiences, meet new friends, we love new members.  We love to listen, and we love to give advice when asked, we can be your mentor, through cyberspace to help you to become a great beekeeper.  Have that most wonderful and awesome day, health.  Cindi
There are strange things done in the midnight sun by the men who moil for gold.  The Arctic trails have their secret tales that would make your blood run cold.  The Northern Lights have seen queer sights, but the queerest they ever did see, what the night on the marge of Lake Lebarge, I cremated Sam McGee.  Robert Service
