1st inspections

Well, at long alst we have the weather for some inspections - although I expect the bee farmers will already have delved in by now.

I checked 2 hives today - one on 7 frames, the other 4 of brood. One had a super on which I left and did a split to end up with 2 nucs eventually, and to the other I just added a super. Lots of brood in various stages of life present and no varroa either after a successful winter treatment.

Just to help them on I also fed a litre of syrup.

Fingers crossed the season is a good one !
