I did the best I could getting a pic for ya Amy. They move so quick! You can see her colors ok, but a side view would have been better. She's sort of a calico looking thing, with mahogany/brown feathers splattered along her side. No consistancy, but nice looking anyway.

She is something, mine never looked like that though. I had dark greens and dark browns, black, and light browns. bye :D

I thought she was rather unique too. I've seen lots of pictures of the "easter egg" chickens, and none had the dramatic colors she does. The picture doesn't do really any justice though. She has alot more interesting colors on her sides.

What I see as weird is the white. I think she may be a cross breed, bye :D

Well, the Americana is sort of a cross breed. Of what I'm not sure. But I got a picture of the side of her body this time. But she's still a rather quick little thing, and her heads all blurry in the pic. :)

I have seen other pictures of the easter egg chickens having white in them. Even saw an almost all white easter egg chicken on the net.

The Americana is a cross breed between an Araucana and a brown egg layer.  They very in color from black, blue, blue wheaten, brown red, buff, silver, wheaten, and white.   Your hen looks in coloring the same as our rooster.

Thanks for the pics! Sorry so long to reply, I have been extra busy lately and just now getting back to reading the boards.
