How many gallons or lbs of honey is a full medium thats capped off? How about a deep? Just curious. Thanks

I've heard that a 6-3/8 medium is around 60Lbs. Someone else posted that a gallon is around 11 pounds (I'd wait to confirm that).

I've found a full medium to be about 30 pounds of honey.  A gallon is just over 12 pounds.  A full super is around 2 1/2 gallons of honey.

Thanks for correcting that, I must have misunderstood the dimensions when I saw 60# somewhere.

I average one bucket (60 lb) for every two mediums and one bucket for every deep-some less some more but thats the average - :) RDY-B

Bee Happy, you are correct. A full medium weighs 60 lb., which includes 30 lb. of honey. The super will still weigh 30 lb. after extracting.

Approximately, of course.

That makes sense, the weight discussion I saw related to the working weight of various full supers (I forgot to consider the empty weight of the super).
