Foundationless frames - guides

I've read about using paint stick, cardboard, wedges inverted, and popsicle sticks as guides for foundationless frames.
My question is, does the guide need to go from one end of the frame to the other or can I simple glue a single popsicle stick in the center?

One end to the other.  They already tend to curve at the ends.  You don't need to encourgage them...

I've found the jumbo craft sticks work well, craft stores and most Walmarts carry them.  A little easier to work with than popsicle sticks.  Reminder: make sure hive is level in all directions.

Oh yeah, that's what I meant by popsicle sticks  :)
I bought it from Walmart already.

How many are you using per frame (if grooved type)?
Going from one end to the other it's like 2.5. But are you doubling if you're using grooved frames
so it'll fit better?

Don't need to double up. Just glue a stick and put it in the groove. Stick a toothpick on each side if they tend to fall over.  :-D
