John and I have talked about it, I am finally a true beekeeper. I finally got my first sting from my bees. I know the point was not to get stung but it is like an anitiation. I didnt even feel any pain, just scraped it out. The funny thing is it stung me on the chin and I didnt swell up, I feel worse for the bee that gave its life to protect the hive. bye :D

That's pretty good that it didn't even swell. The face is usually a pretty tender area to get stung. :) Ouch.

But yep.... you can call it official now. :)

I know, I feel so lucky, I cant get over it. My friend was laughing, she was in the car when it happened, she thought that would detour my love for bee keeping. Not hardly, made me happy, she called me crazy and we laughed. bye :D

Lucky you!  I swell up slightly around the area that I get stung in.  I think I just need to get used to it... ouch!

They always get me in the back of the neck when I don't wear my veil.
Going on number 8. You would think I would learn.

You guys may itch tomorrow.  My stings are much worse on the second and third days.

I know what you mean about the poor bees.  I was stung last week and the poor thing was staggering around with her guts hanging out, almost made me cry.    I apologized, but I don't think she could hear me....
