Varroa count significant?

24 hours after a powder sugar dusting there are 90 varroa mites stuck on the bottom board.  This is the most I have seen, but my experience is not deep.  I presume the mites on the bottom board are only a small percentage of the mature mites in the hive.

I understand the mite population peaks in the August-September time in my area, but is this mite count a concern?

I wil dust and measure again in a couple of days.

The count really does not matter this week.  I would worry about the next 2 to make sure you are knocking the mites out.  Let us know about next weeks count to see how low it is.
