Kerkhof Hives anyone?

Just ran across this type of hive and system of working the hive itself and found it interesting. I like the ideas of alternate means of keeping bees, but do not like certain features of the Warre' and TBH systems. Anyone on here ever experimented with the Kerkhof enough to have an opinion one way or the other?
