Hi Fellow Beekeepers:

This year, I wanted to add some labels to my honey jars to make them look nicer. But I couldn't find a service that would allow me to design a completely custom label and print it in small quantities. So I created my own design and printed it on my home printer.

If you would like to make your own customized labels, you can download templates from my web site and modify them to your liking. You will need to have access to Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to do this.

Anyway, you can find the templates and instructions at my blog, Honey Label TemplatePlanterTomato

I like to say you have one nice label there.   Very nice.   You put a lot of thought into that label.   I like it.

Hi All:

Thanks for the kind remarks.  I should add one other thing....

I don't sell my honey.  I give it away as gifts to friends and family.  If you sell honey, you'll need to conform to the labeling guidelines for your state (Guidelines vary state to state).

That said, you can update the label to include whatever information is required (ounces, moisture level etc.).

You will also need to add nutritional information according to FDA specifications.  The good news on that front is that you can buy pre-printed nutritional information labels from BrushyMountain Bee Supply and other vendors.  You would make this, your back label.

If you decide to use this template, please let me know by posting here or at my blog -- http://www.plantertomato.com

Thanks
