Ive seen people spent a heck of a lot more on a dog so why not for bees.  You could get pretty creative with options.  Add a front porch, a pool, fish pond, tennis court, hot tub sauna, ........... choices could be endless.

Very clever design. All around I like the cleverness of it  with the exception of the frames, something tells me the bees will ruin any hope of recycling them.
the aztec temple look of it is really pleasing too.

Kinda neat (but for $470 U.S. . . . . ouch).

Other issue I have is that it is plastic and I am really trying to reduce the amount of plastic I use for the sake of the environment.  Seems like beekeeping is generally pretty environmentally friendly, would hate to see  it add to the burden we are already putting on it.

$470, geez...........  you could use that money and pay someone to take care of your hives for you or buy some really neat imported honey.

Makes you wonder how it holds up in cold weather it being plastic and all not to mention good lord what a price tag.  For that price it should also treat all known bee illnesses.

You don't have to extract honey from this hive, there is a spigot on the side from the honey bulk storage inside the hive.  Jar the honey right from the hive.  And it cuts down on all the wax the bees have to make for honey comb.  In fact, eggs are laid in the nursery, and young bees walk out of the nursery ready to work.  All taking care of the young is done with robots.  No mistakes made there.  And the young bees also have borg implants that allow them to live disease free their entire life and the ability to assimilate other bees and put them to work collecting food for the collective, I mean hive.

I bet it will not last as long as my wood products after the sun bakes the oils out, all of the plastic.

Looks like someone has more than brains.  All jokes aside it looks completely over complicated.  But I've been wrong before, just ask my wife.
