Had bees all over my wood cutting today.  Landing in oak sawddust and digging around in it then flying off.  Visited the hives, 300 yds away or so and decided to put on the feeders w/fumigiln and a Terramycin.  These 2 hives seem to have survived in fair condition. One of them was a tad hot today, but was the most active of the 2.  Got by without a smoker on the first one but decided to light it for the second one.  Sometimes it really makes all the difference.  Checked my 3rd hive a couple days ago and they are very strong for the winter we have had,  Better than last year when I had lost 6 of 6 before winter even arrived. Also had no harvest last year with 2 new packages and a swarm that moved in to the hive I checked earlier in the week. It feels good, I hope I'm not judging too soon. I'm down to family only reserves with 4 months or so till posssibility of harvest. Really good to see some honest activity.
