queen pulls larva?

was watching my very prolific new queen in the observation hive.  she went head down into a cell and pulled out the larva.  the workers took it away and she left the area. 

didn't think queens did anything buy lay and kill rivals......

insights?

The larva must have looked like one of her ex-husbands.   :evil:

Um...technically they are all former husbands... ex-husband suggests that they are still alive!

My thought was there was one that was talking back really bad!!
