Hello my name is Carl and this is my first post.I live in Merlin Oregon, that is about 3 miles north of Grants Pass.I am a 67 yr old male and have lived on my small farm for the past 35 yrs. This all started with finding a wild honeybee hive that i brought home to save the colony after watching the bees for a while i got the BUG!.So far i have read everything i can find on the topic, about 6 months of research reading and have built my first honeybee hive from plans downloaded from the web.Have talked to one beekeeper so far.Am very worried about spring and swarm!.So any help out there will be appreciated.
Carl-I have done so much with so little for so long i can now do something with nothing!

Regarding swarming, please read from the website I have posted

There are many schools of thought on this process, but Michael Bush has written a wonderful book on beekeeping. He is a member of this forum will probably jump in from time to time to answer any questions you may have about beekeeping. You can read everything on his web page as well.

Good luck
