i checked my hive today and saw that on top of the frames in the bottom brood box the bees have a little bit of comb and larva there. is this ok?
A swarm of bees in May is worth a load of hay; A swarm of bees in June is worth a silver spoon; A swarm of bees in July isn't worth a fly.

It's drone comb. Anywhere they can draw burr comb. It's normal.
