Earwigs (Forficula auricularia)

 In my hives, I have got earwigs. The old beekeepers tell that the presence of earwigs is no problem for bees. I would like to know an other opinion

If they're actually all over the place IN the hives among the bees, then your population of bees may be a little low. Usually a strong colony won't put up with too many "strangers" in their hive. But if you're seeing them at the bottom board or in a pull-out observation tray, then the colony is doing its job as far as keeping them away from their comb.

I've found spiders, crickets, earwigs, fire ants, argentine ants, cockroaches, and some other guests in and around my hives. But RARELY do I find them actually on the comb with the bees..
