Requeening in louisiana

I have 9 hives I want to requeen.  They are all old queens except for a couple.  I was going to order some cordovan Italians from Pendall apiaries.  Not much flow going on right now, so what are the chances of acceptance, if I just remove old queen and wait 24 hours and requeen?
