Still new at bee watching .. i mean bee keeping.   But yesterday while out spying on the hives i noticed some come back with white colored pollen others come back with yellow and what was even stranger i found a lot coming back with BLUE pollen.   I thought pollen was yellow.

I found that after a bit of google'ing this morning.   Anyone have a better picture of whats what i would love to be able to look at the girls and know what flowers they have been out visiting.

Your chart may be a start but I do not have raspberry blooms right now but the bees are full of white pollen.

Same here Jackam. I don't "think" rasberries are around here and if they were they wouldn't be in bloom would they?

Mine are bringing in yellow, white and orange these days.

Wikipedia pollen source I'd one I use, but due to being new I can't post any links.

yeah, that's a kind of limited chart.  mine are bringing in the brightest orange pollen i've ever seen right now along with a little white pollen.

Jackam

I watched the yellow and white come in today. A lot of it is darker yellow, almost orange.
Every once in a while I get an inbound light with VERY dark orange pollen.
Sure makes me wonder where that bee came from!

Jipow - welcome!

You'll probably need to edit your profile and put your location in. By doing that you can get better answers to any questions you may pose. again - welcome.

It was gray poppy pollen that threw me. I thought it was mold when I first noticed it.
