The guy I got my bees from was using Bayvarol to trat his bees for mites. However my go to bee guy says that Bayvarol is not good for the bees and can have long term effects on my bees. I really don't know what to do now as it is getting late in the season and the bees need to be treated. Anyone have experiance with Bayvarol?

WHO says your bees NEED to be treated?  They DON'T.

Try to find a bee supplier that doesnt treat for next year.  Say NO to treating this year, if they make it you've done them and bees everywhere great service.

What does your go to bee guy say & are your hives at the tipping point for mite population?
I haven't treated in 3 years thanks to MDA'S on the spot queen rearing method, there's plenty of treatments out there depends on what you feel comfortable with, cause there's always a boogyman out there and always a person eager to sell a cure.
Can't ever say that bk'n ain't a learning experience!
