Was at work when a fellow worker came up to me an said there was a swarm on the bunker. Went to investigate an sure enough there they were. Went to check em out an engineer came up an said they called an exterminator to kill em to keep anyone from getting stung. I told them heck no I will take them so I got a box an scooped  half of them up off the ground an the rest flew in the box. It was so cool.they thought I was nuts. Just hived them hopefully all is well.ha vent seen a queen yet.just gone leave them alone for a few days. Get my first packages friday. Got an earlier start than I intended.

When the law no longer protects you from the corrupt, but protects the corrupt from you - then you know your nation is doomed.

Catching a swarm is one of many things that give you a great feeling.   Getting the first honey from your hives.  Ain't it mostly all good.

Good luck to you and your bees

Way to go.  You saved the bees and got a free colony hopefully.

Thanks to all. They seem to like their new home. Heard talk of might be a safety issue with me catching bees at work but I will take the disciplinary action. Can't wait to do it agin.

Catching swarms is great. Even better if they stay where you put them. I caught a swarm but they fly away. Still enjoyed the experiance.
Hope you don't get into too much trouble at work...
