Hi, I am a cultural anthropology graduate student who is basing her thesis around beekeeping in Jamaica. I plan on making a trip to Jamaica, but would like to make headway before traveling. I have no specific topic. My plan is to meet and observe beekeepers in Jamaica in hopes to find a specific thesis topic. If anyone would be interested in participating or helping or even have just a little info, I would be greatly appreciative. Feel free to message me.

Sincerely,
Nadine Armstrong

As one with an anthropology degree, I would like to see your thesis when completed.    Or at least the abstract.

Yeah, sure! I am only a first year grad student and just trying to get ready for my thesis so it will not be completed until next spring or maybe summer. Have you completed your B.A. or Master's?

you might also want to put your info on the FB beemaster page, if you have not already.

good luck with the thesis. I got out with 17 credits left to a BA in engineering. ( fell in love with a ballerina in DC. (wish I stayed in school. It would have cost alot less than the divorce after 6 years of bliss :'()

I think their was a member from Jamaica on hear. you may want to look at the member list and maybe email them for some heads up info on their way of beekeeping.

Hey Bud, when I got home I shot those guns at a paper target. The one John had was shooting to the right about 3 inches or so. The one I had was pretty much dead on. I figured they must have got bumped on the way over or with me hauling them up and down the stairs at the hotel wrapped in a blanket. The front sight has a dove tail fixture and it slides to the right or left by bumping it. Sometimes on those guns you have to take it off and beat it some so it won't slide so easy. John told me he thought it was shooting to the right.

Man, I also really appreciate all you done for us there. It was an opportunity to learn about bees that I couldn't have gotten anywhere else. I've never seen so many swarms in all my life. You're a great American!

John's from the city, I'm from the cotton fields and woods :-D

Seriously, thanks again! We're looking forward to seeing you again.
