I have been pushing them as far as I can. Yesterday, I built some more frames and checkerboarded the last weaker hive's supers. I stole 3 frames of drawn from the strongest and put 3 FL frames in them, so the weaker hive only got 7 FL frames. I can't remember when I added a box of FL frames to the strong hive, but they still had 1 more to draw.

There is all kinds of burr and ladder comb in there. I scraped off some sides and tops of the top super, but the bottom super was running out as I pulled the top frames out to checkerboard, was honey/syrup, what a mess. I figured I would leave it for them to clean as scraping a lot tends to kill bees because they just won't move, no matter if I smoke them.

If they get the rest drawn, that will be a total of 3 hives- 1 deep and 2 mediums a piece, from a 4 lbs. package from April 19th.

Next will be mite count, treat, weigh them, reduce entrance, mice guard, wrap with felt and then hope for good wintering while making more hives and reading. What else am I forgetting?

I had some supers on for my Bee's to draw out. I watched them for a while. They just stopped drawing comb. So I removed mine to let them get ready for spring.....
