I have bees in shed that I want to move before tearing building down. Is it too early in year to move them here in southern IN. Temps in 60's regularly now and bees seems active just wondered if they needed a few weeks to recoup from winter.

Where in southern Indiana ?
how big is the hive?
how much stores do they have to move with them?
Me... I would wait a couple weeks at least. temps will be a bit more stable and warmer. I like to see it warm enough that they have no issue with fixing all that messed up comb you are putting in there. Cold comb can be brittle and will crack like a tater chip

I did a cut out in SE Indiana this past Tuesday.  Temps in the 60s and sunny.  Transferred them to a nuc. All went well.  They didnt have much honey stores so I am feeding them.  Too cool and rainy now.  I would wait till warmer weather next week.  Be prepared to feed them. Good luck.
