For entertainment purposes only, I'm not a doctor and am not giving medical advice. I can say this. I put some honey on a burn a couple of days ago. The burn was 2 to 3 days old and still an open runny wound. I swabbed it with honey that night and the next morning I had a scab. They have some good points in this article, even quoted Aristotle.

Many medical use's from the beehive. Honey is strong in antibiotics. Stings are good for Arthritis. You will will get only a pleasant smell from candles made from pure bees wax. Use first year wax, or better yet use the capping's, not as much build up of unwanted stuff.. The list goes on. d2

Propulus is great for gum disease and sore throats too.

Honey has been used for centuries for wound healing, including the Crimean War, the Napoleonic Wars and World Wars I and II. The skin of seriously burned pilots during WWII was often reconstituted by the application of honey directly onto an external dressing (Honey Tulle). I have used it myself on ulcerated tissues of those patients with poor blood circulation to their legs. Highly effective.

LJ, My father in law(80's) has sores on his legs as well. They have to be wrapped daily.  I believe it's something to do with diabetes. Is this the same type you were dealing with?

This is slightly off the topic of original post regarding eye infection but an associate told me her dad had an ulcerated toe due to MRSA. All of the conventional treatments had failed and was considering skin grafts. She tried a mixture of equal parts of raw honey and emu oil. The problem disappeared. Not scientific but...........

Honey was widely used during the war between the states, aka US civil war. I'll be using it more in the future to get a better idea of what's coincident vs actual healing.
