Starting new Hives

Hi All,

New to beekeeping, currently have 3 active hives.

I am looking to expand with another 2 or 3 hives, when is the latest in the season this would be possible, so as to have a good strong colony for the winter.

Located in Lower Blue Mountains, NSW.

Too late.
You will do better to keep your 3 hives strong, get them through the winter and then divide in spring much better chance for all of the hives to survive.
