I told them what they were and they still tried to convince me that they are for sure HONEY BEES......I told them that I dont want that kind of honey bee. (Bald faced Hornets)

Happens all the time Fishingnut. Years ago my busy and I were called out to remove a hive in a box on the ground. It turned out to bee yellow jackets. Per Florida law , we are not allowed to remove anything but Honey  Bees.

Last week a pest removal company called me wanting me to remove a Baldface Hornets nestthat is 35 feet up a tree. I told them I could not do it but I did tell them how I would remove it if I was authorized.

Amazing.  I wish there was a banging head against the wall emoji.

You know whose fault this is, right?  Winnie the Pooh.

  At least the original Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree was accurate.

Fishing-Nut, you might have done this; What  I have learned to do on cutout calls is have them send pictures especially if it is a long drive.

yes sir! Every single time. I will admit that most of the time they are correct on the identity of the bees.......but I do get the occasional yellow jacket/wasp/hornet call as well....

Stopped doing bee calls, mainly because young life sins are catching up with me.  But every year I averaged about 1 out of 10 or more were actually honey bees, the rest were various types of wasps or hornets.  Still do swarm calls, mainly to help start new young FBA's and their parents.  I'll get selfish when I get some property and then expand...
Everyone said it couldn't be done. But he with a chuckle replied, "I won't be one to say it is so, until I give it a try."  So he buckled right in with a trace of a grin.  If he had a worry he hid it and he started to sing as he tackled that thing that couldn't be done, and he did it.  (unknown)
