I was inspecting my hives today and found at least 2 queen cells in my biggest colony.  They were on the sides of the brood frames, not hanging from the bottom.  I broke one of them open to find an almost fully developed queen.  Should I have done that and also destroy any others I would have found? Does this mean the bees don't like the existing queen and are going to replace her so I should order a replacement immediately?  There was a nice brood pattern on many of the frames in both brood boxes and they were drawing out the honey supers nicely too. So I think there is plenty of room for all of them/

It sounds like they don't like their queen for some reason.  Did you leave the other cell alone? Did you check to see if you still have a queen?

Wait a week and check again. If the other cell is chewed open then your queen has been replaced.

Where those are placed, they are generally supersedure queen cells, so you're best off to probably let nature take it's course.
