Where do Small Hive Beetles Lay Eggs

I have read that Small Hive Beetles lay eggs in any nook or cranny on a frame such as the corner of a frame. I have also read that stored pollen is the place where they lay eggs? Are either of those accurate? What about honey comb itself? Do SHB lay eggs in, or on honey comb?

That is a good article on the subject.  Basically they can lay eggs anywhere, but need a protein source(pollen or brood) to stimulate egg laying.  Honey by itself doesn't stimulate egg laying.

 I made 3 5 frame nucs this summer in one batch and 1 got slimed. I imported the eggs apparently on one frame. The frames were  mixed from several different hives. It was doomed in one weeks time. The queen was never released.
