Redbugs! Arrrrrrrrrrgghhh!!!

They don't hang around long enough for any kind of shampoo or other things to make any difference.  And, as stated, they don't burrow under the skin.  When I was a kid we put nail polish on them thinking it would suffocate them.  But, of course, there weren't there anymore...  We used to put sulfur in our socks to keep the ticks and chiggers out.  It was somewhat effective.
