Well it looks like another glorious weather front for those of us in South Florida.

So I have planned many different ways to deal with my bees during the not so wonderful periods of Florida weather. Since this is a category 1 or tropical storm my bees will stay out but I will be strapping and anchoring the hives. I will also be closing up the entrances.

My question is this, what ways do other hurricane area beekeepers to do secure their bees during a hurricane? What do you do if it is a 4 or 5? I know for me it is  a simple matter of loading my hives up and relocating them to a safe area, but do others do? What do you do if you have lots and lots of hives?

Sincerely,
Brendhan
