What I really enjoyed is how many of the rules I don't follow. I always wear black jeans. I sometimes wear a black shirt. Sometimes a white one. I firmly believe you could wear purple. I think more depends on how you handle a hive. I do agree that if they are agitaed they go for darker spots. So I want them to sting my thick jeans vs. my head or my underarm.

Brendhan

But if you get a hot hive, you'll wish you hadn't.  :)

I know your right. However the one time I dropped my hive and I had hundreds of stings I was glad they went to the jeans instead of them looking for something else.

I firmly believe that, when aggitated, the bees will seek out darker areas.  I actually, once wore a white and  black sock to the local association's apiary once before.  At the end of the day, I had nine stings in my left ankle (black sock) and zero in the right (white sock).

P.S.  I wore the different colored socks just because I had no other socks clean at the moment but, I find it relevent to this.
